Offaly Sports Partnership employs five full time staff members, and engages a number of contracted tutors to deliver programmes of the Sports Partnership.

Eamonn Henry, Coordinator has been with Offaly Sports Partnership since October 2006

Olivia Murphy, Administrator has been with Offaly Sports Partnership since February 2008

Jean Brady, Sports Inclusion Development Officer (SIDO) has been with Offaly Sports Partnership since May 2018. The SIDO supports the development and delivery of sport and physical activity programmes for people with disabilities, older adults and other specific target groups of the sports partnership (e.g. people from disadvantaged communities, women and girls, and youth at risk)

Denise Coghill, Community Sports Development Officer has been with Offaly Sports Partnership since October 2018. The CSDO supports the development and delivery of sport and physical activity programmes for specific communities. The CSDO is currently working in the west Offaly area

Liam O Reilly, ACE Coordinator has been with Offaly Sports Partnership since June 2022. The ACE (assisting children excel) programme will have a focus on supporting children from disadvantaged backgrounds to become and remain involved in organised sport.

Dermot Egan, Healthy Offaly Coordinator, funded via the Healthy Ireland framework, has been with Offaly Sports Partnership since November 2019. The Healthy Offaly Coordinator is responsible for the roll out of the Healthy Ireland Offaly work plan across the county.

Contracted tutors of Offaly Sports Partnership

In addition to our fulltime staff members, Offaly Sports Partnership also contracts a number of tutors to deliver specific programmes of the sports partnership.

Community Sports & Physical Activity Hubs

In late 2016, Offaly Sports Partnership secured funding from Sport Ireland and the Dormant Accounts Disbursement Fund to establish a community sports and physical activity hub in the south Offaly area. The south Offaly sports hub is based out of the Crinkle Sport and Recreation Centre where it is managed by Declan Cooke; and employs a number of tutors to deliver outreach sport and physical activity programmes of the sports partnership in the local area.

In late 2020, Offaly Sports Partnership secured funding from Sport Ireland and the Dormant Accounts Disbursement Fund to establish a second community sports and physical activity hub in the north Offaly area. The Daingean community sports hub works out of the Daingean community sports hall which can be found on the premises of Daingean GAA. 

In late 2022, Offaly Sports Partnership secured funding from Sport Ireland and the Dormant Accounts Disbursement Fund to establish a third community sports and physical activity hub in the mid Offaly area. The Mucklagh community sports hub works out of the Mucklagh Community Centre.

In late 2023, Offaly Sports Partnership secured funding from Sport Ireland and the Dormant Accounts Disbursement Fund to establish a fourth community sports and physical activity hub in the west Offaly area. The Ballycumber community sports hub works out of the Ballycumber Activity Centre, Ballycumber GAA.
