Community Walking Leader Training level 2
Walking Leader Training Level 2 is aimed at those who have completed Community Walking Leader Training Level 1 and are registered Irish Heart Foundation Community Walking Leaders.
Time: 26th November at 9:00 am to 27th November 2016 at 1:00 pm


Disability Inclusion Training
A six hour introductory course designed to give participants ideas and inspiration to adapt their sport, physical activity or physical education sessions to make them more accessible for children and adults with a disability.
Time: 26th November 2016 at 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

Offaly Sports Awards of the Decade
In celebration of Offaly Sports Partnership 10th anniversary, we will be hosting an Offaly Sports Awards of the Decade gala evening on Saturday, 3rd December in the Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore.
Time: 3rd December 2016 at 7:30 pm to 11:55 pm
Safeguarding 1 (child protection awareness training)
This course educates participants on the implementation of best practice in protecting the welfare of children involved in sport.
Time: 30th November 2016 at 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Go for Life Physical Activity Leader training
Go for Life is the national programme for sport and physical activity for older people in Ireland. It is run by over 900 volunteers who we call PALs. A PAL is a Physical Activity Leader who is already part of a group or club and is willing to lead activities. PALs lead their local group in things like short exercise routines, fun games, simple dances and sports like pitch and toss.
Time: 15th November 2016 at 10:00 am to 3:00 pm

National Vetting Bureau Act information session (booking essential)
The National Vetting Bureau Act was enacted earlier this year (April 2016). This act places new responsibilities on sports clubs and other organisations that work directly with young people and vulnerable adults. In order to make sporting organisations fully aware of their responsibilities under the act, Offaly Sports Partnership will be hosting this information evening which will be addressed by Bernie Priestley (Code of Ethics Manager) of Sport Ireland.
