National Vetting Bureau Act information session (booking essential)

The National Vetting Bureau Act was enacted earlier this year (April 2016). This act places new responsibilities on sports clubs and other organisations that work directly with young people and vulnerable adults. In order to make sporting organisations fully aware of their responsibilities under the act, Offaly Sports Partnership will be hosting this information evening which will be addressed by Bernie Priestley (Code of Ethics Manager) of Sport Ireland.

The information session is particularly relevant to officers and volunteers in sports clubs, and persons who have previously undertaken child protection training in order to keep abreast of the changes in legislation.
